Cancer Full Moon

30th December 2020

Full Moon in Cancer blessings to you all at this last full moon of the year, a year we're all going to remember for different reasons and yet with one thing hugely in common driving the changes we've faced and are still living with as we move forward into 2o21. Let's use this time to focus on the cancer qualities caring, nurturing and sensitivity for ourselves and others.

Like all full moons the emotions may be high, you may be feeling sensitive, teary and vulnerable and if so this would be a good time to allow them to release. It's ok to have a good greet as we say in Scotland. Find a safe and protected space like the cancer shell and allow yourself to feel. Only when we truly go into an emotion can we release it and move forward lighter and wiser from what we've learnt. If we've lost someone this year then allow yourself to release some of the grief that may come to the surface with this moon. As raw as it is, it will be healing and comforting in time.

As we approach the end of the Gregorian calendar year lots of us like to reflect on where we've been and make plans for where we are going in 2021. New Year resolutions and plans ahead are a good way to get clear on what is important to us. But before you plan ahead to next year, take time to look back on how far you've come this year if you haven't already. How you've grown as a person, what you've discovered about yourself and what you know to be your priorities in life the people, the places, the family that you choose to spend time with, for some this won't be the family they were born into. What matters most to you? Get clear before you move ahead and everything will be easier.

The body parts associated with Cancer are our core - the solar plexus area - the belly, chest and the organs pancreas, adrenals, stomach, liver, gall bladder and nervous system. Take time to sit and breath, place your hands on your belly and watch it rising and falling as slowly as you can. Allow your eyes to close and bring your attention inward, feeling the movement in your body as you breathe. Notice any sensations here as you breathe, are there any restrictions. Allow yourself to watch the rhythm and breathe deep, what do you notice ? Then place your hands on your heart and do the same again. Does it feel any different here ?

Our Solar Plexus is the seat of our emotions and gives us a sense of personal power in the world.

If you're feeling particularly fragile just now then focus on this area, see the bright yellow of this energy centre and keep the visualisation going until the colour is strong and vibrant. The sound to strengthen this centre is 'Ram' you could repeat the sound to yourself mentally or aloud and use positive affirmations to help. Affirm how you want to feel, for example " I am safe and secure."

Other tools to help balance the Solar plexus are the essential oil Lemon and you could listen to instrumental music with flutes, woodwind, strings and piano.

The qualities of empathy, compassion and nurturing is something I would encourage us to grow with at this full moon. Empathy and compassion for each other, for our friends, family, loved ones near and far, neighbours and colleagues. Regardless of our age and occupation everyone has been affected by the changes upon us and for some it's been easier than others to get through. We need to be there for each other, pull each other up when patience and perseverance start to fade and keep each other strong. Team work all round is what will get us through. With regards to nurturing, we all have a responsibility to look after ourselves and those around us. Be sensitive with your own needs and treat yourself with the best possible care. You deserve it and so does everyone.

Love is the highest vibration and when our mind and body is in that energy it can overcome all obstacles. Fear has the opposite effect, it closes us down and switches off our ability to manage, make clear decisions and knocks our whole system off balance. Choose love and trust it will all your heart. Love can move mountains if enough people believe in it. Be a peaceful warrior and be the change in the world you want it to be.

" Warriors take chances like everyone else, they fear failing, but they refuse to let fear control them." Ancient Samurai saying.

Wishing you all the best as we move forward into 2021. May it bring all our heart's desires xxx

Blessings,

Sarah

I've gone for a bigger crab with this full moon, perhaps the cancer qualities which will make this world a better place have grown this year, I'd like to think so. The Solar Plexus yellow is something to keep working on, and will help the whole be strong as we all become more aware, and intune with each other and the natural world around us.
